Increase to Visa Fee and IHS Coming Soon
The UK Government has announced that they will be increasing the application fee and the Immigration health surcharge. The Immigration Health Surcharge will be increasing from £624 to £1035 per year, so if you are applying for a spouse visa from outside the UK you will be paying £3105 opposed to the current £1872. It is proposed that migrants coming to the UK should contribute more, in addition to the taxes they pay.
The settlement application will rise to £2885 per person and there is likely increase to work and visit visas to around 15% to the current price.
It will be better to apply now if you can to save some money.
It is unclear what migrants are getting back for all the money they pay towards the UK as the long waits in receiving Asylum decisions and no real benefit to the migrants are being proposed by the UK Government except treating the migrants as cash cows to stabilize the economy.
The only good side is that the fee for biometrics £19.20 will be removed and fee for TOC Application will be removed.
It is likely that there will be a rise in Fee Waiver Applications since there will be people who will not be able to afford to pay for the application will the rising costs of mortgage and utilities in the UK.
More will be seen from the upcoming election in 2024 and if there is a change of ruling parties to the UK how they would treat the migrants.
We hope migrants are treated more fairly by the elected party in 2024.
