Corona virus and UK Immigration – Updated 29 July 2020

Coronavirus and UK Immigration – Updated 29 July 2020

The Home Office has decided to provide an extra month to 31 August 2020 for people whose visas were expiring between 24 January 2020 and 31 July 2020 allowing them to make travel arrangements to leave the UK.

If you are unable to leave the UK until 31 August 2020, you may request for an additional time allowing you to stay in the UK. This will be known as “exceptional indemnity” by contacting [email protected]

It will be best to keep an eye out on the Home Office website www.gov.uk to watch out for further updates.

If you intended to make an application for long term stay you can do so before 31 August 2020.

Should you intend to apply long term stay in the UK under the coronavirus concession, you can have 5 mins free consultation with our Immigration Lawyers at Visa and Migration Ltd. Call 02034111261 or email [email protected]
